The lunchtime protest that involved about 50 students lasted for about 1 1/2 hours and was organized by a Bay Area group called the Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action By Any Means Necessary, according to Los Angeles Unified School District officials.School district police were on site to handle the disturbance and called in Los Angeles Police Department officers.LAUSD police took three BAMN members into custody on suspicion of trespassing and disturbing the peace, said Assistant Chief of School Police Larry Hutchens.The incident began at noon when three people who did not attend the school encouraged students to walk out.
